Pas is renowned as a party holiday resort and has lots of bars and restaurants to keep you entertained off the slopes plus is part of Grandvalira, the largest skiable area in the Pyrenees, so you've got the best of both worlds!

Where is Andorra?

Andorra is a tiny landlocked country nestled on the border between France and Spain. The history of Andorra is very interesting and varied and, although it has its own government, it remains a co-principality with France and Spain. Andorra does not have its own airport and most tourists arrive by flying to either Toulouse, Girona or Barcelona, with transfer times varying between 3 to 4½ hours depending on which airport you fly to and which resort you are travelling, however they can be a lot longer it the weather is bad!

What is there to do if I don't ski or snowboard?

Pas de la Casa is a shoppers paradise with loads of stores to choose from with many international brands at reduced prices! You've also got a large leisure centre including a big indoor swimming pool.

If this isn't enough then you can catch one of the regular buses to the capital Andorra la Vella where you will find even more shops as well as Caldea, a thermal spa.

What will the weather be like when I go to Pas de la Casa?

The weather in the mountains can change very quickly, and you should be prepared for very cold temperatures as well as hot sunny days on the slopes! Andorra has a very good snow record, and the 2008-09 season saw the main resorts opening two weeks early and closing two weeks late due to the massive amounts of snow throughout the winter! It is difficult to predict the weather conditions for a given week or month, so it is best to keep checking the weather forecast & snow report.

What clothes should I bring?

As the weather can be unpredictable you should bring a selection of clothes that will keep you warm. Have a look at our 'What to Wear' guide for some ideas.

What time is it in Andorra?

Andorra is one hour ahead of the UK.

What type of plug socket is used in Andorra?

Andorra uses the standard two-pin European socket. Adaptor plugs can be purchased from lots of supermarkets around Pas de la Casa.

Should I book group school or private school?

This comes down to personal preference and the amount of money you have to spend on lessons. With group school you will meet new people and it is much more social, whereas with private lessons you usually progress faster.

Can we have an instructor just for our group?

Yes you can! It depends on how many people are in your group, but this can be organised either paying group prices if your group is large enough or a private instructor can be booked to look after just your group.

Do I need a photo for my lift pass?
