Pas de la Casa, or Pas as it is often shortened to, appeals to young skiers and snowboarders due to the fantastic variety of nightlife, as well as providing access the huge mountain area of Grandvalira, the largest skiable area in the Pyrenees. The height of the resort means snow conditions are amongst the best in Andorra.

Where is Andorra?

Andorra is a tiny landlocked country nestled on the border between France and Spain. The history of Andorra is very interesting and varied and, although it has its own government, it remains a co-principality with France and Spain. Andorra does not have its own airport and most tourists arrive by flying to either Toulouse, Girona or Barcelona, with transfer times varying between 3 to 4.5 hours depending on which airport you fly to and which resort you are travelling, however they can be a lot longer it the weather is bad!

What is there to do if I don't ski or snowboard?

Even if you don't ski or snowboard, you can still find plenty to do here! If you want to go up to see people on the mountain you can buy just a "walkers pass" allowing you to go to the top of the first lifts.

There is also a bus service from Pas de la Casa running to other resorts such as Soldeu along the main road to Andorra la Vella, the capital of Andorra.

The weather in the mountains can change very quickly, and you should be prepared for very cold temperatures as well as hot sunny days on the slopes! Andorra has a very good snow record, and the 2008-09 season saw the main resorts opening two weeks early and closing two weeks late due to the massive amounts of snow throughout the winter!
