Activities in Pas de la Casa

Pas de la Casa is a lively  resort that has lots to offer on and off the slopes and has great access to many more activities in the Grandvalira ski area. Whether you fancy a day off the hill or a non skier looking what options Pas de le Casa has, check out our list below to get some ideas and inspiration on what is on offer to do in the area.

Mountain Based Activities

Pas de la Casa offers some great options that allow you to enjoy the snow without having to ski. Across the Grandvalira there are a great variety of activities on offer from dog sledding to snow-mobiling and you can even indulge by spending a night in the Igloo Hotel.

Many of the activities take place in the Grandvalira Mountain Park which is an adventure activity centre located at Grau Roig where you can have a go at paintballing and snow tubing amongst other fun activities. If you would prefer not to ski to Grau Roig there is also the Leisure Centre that is situated in the town of Pas de la Casa where you can enjoy a swim while being surrounded by beautiful mountain views or have a coffee while the kids play in the soft play area.

All mountain activities can be booked directly at the ticket office desk in the resort centre.

Snow Tubing

A fun family activity in which you slide over the snow on a rubber ring.

Location: Grau Roig

Cost: 20 minutes -€15,00 / 40 minutes €25,00

Mushing

Another really popular activity; go on a breathtaking ride through the snowy paths of the Grandvalira forest on sleds pulled by husky dogs.

Location: Grau Roig

Cost: €50 for adults and €40 for children

Snowmobile/Skidoo

A great way to get an adrenaline rush as you drive through the snow on a specially marked route. To make it even more special you can take the option of doing it at night. To drive a snowmobile you need to have a full driving license.

Location: Grau Roig

Cost: Snowmobile - €80 for 30 minutes / Night Snowmobile Excursion - €150 for 30 minutes

Snowshoe Circuits

A great way to explore the icy frozen lakes of the Grandvalira wearing specially designed snowshoes (also referred to as raquettes). Please note you will need good mountain shoes to wear with these.

Location: Grau Roig

Cost: €30 for two hours / €95 for full day

Igloo Hotel

A real special treat, where you can spend a night sleeping in a hotel made of ice. Located at Grau Roig, up on the mountains, you will be whisked up to the hotel in a Snowcat to have dinner before spending a night in the igloo. If you do get cold, there are two Jacuzzis waiting to warm you up. In the morning you can have a breakfast with a view before enjoying first access to the slopes.

Resort Based Activities

Pas de la Casa is particularly well known for its lively atmosphere and the friendliness of the village. Here are a some of the things you can do in Pas de la Casa.

Pas de la Casa Sports Centre

Situated in the centre of the resort it is a hive of activity for locals and tourists alike. You can either relax or exercise here with martial arts classes, team sports, fitness and a climbing wall on offer or take it easy in the 25 metre swimming pool that is surrounded by stunning mountain views. For the little ones there is a soft play area which is free to use.

Apres-Ski/Nightlife

The après ski scene in Pas de la Casa is well known for being welcoming and lively and attracts groups and student parties in particular.

Many of the bars have different events going on each night from live music to quizzes and the price of the drinks are some of the lowest you will find in any ski resort. Many of the large operators will offer a guided tour of their favourite bars on one night of the week and let you know how to make the most out of the nightlife on offer.

One thing to watch out for is the Andorran love for bar games with table football being a firm favourite with the locals. Other games include the “Nail Game” where each player has a nail that they have to hit into a large trunk of wood, this one is especially fun after a few beers.

Eating Out

As with the bars in Pas de la Casa there are a good variety of restaurants to choose from. Pretty much every taste is catered for in Pas de la Casa from fast-food giants like McDonalds right up to traditional alpine fondue in El Provencal.

Shopping

Pas de la Casa has all the amenities you would probably want and then some. There are supermarkets, tax free alcohol and tobacco shops alongside a good range of boutiques and department stores stocking designer fashions, eyewear, perfumes and jewellery, alongside music shops, electronic goods retailers and sports equipment outlets. Other Activities in Andorra

Caldea Thermal Spa

Europe's largest thermal spa is located in the capital, Andorra La Vella. It offers a great range of relaxing facilities including indoor & outdoor lagoons, jacuzzis, steam room, saunas, an Icelandic bath, and much more, they also put on some great sound and light shows during the evenings. Making a reservation is recommended, and your hotel reception should be able to help with this. Now in Caldea you can also find INÚU, Andorra’s new wellness centre with hot springs and more specialized treatments in a setting of absolute peace and quiet with no children allowed.

Naturlandia Adventure Park

Located in "La Rabbassa" above St. Julia, approximately 45 minutes from Arinsal, you will find Naturlandia Adventure Park. An outdoor activity paradise, with activities such as Tobotronc (at 5.3km long it is the longest alpine slide in natural surroundings in the world) and Airtrekk, a three level sky trail that begins at 13 metres in the air. Other activities include archery, minigolf and an animal park.
